Bailey began practicing asana in 2002 as a complement to high school athletics. She was initially drawn to yoga for its physical benefits, but after years of practice, realized that the way her body surrenders to the practice with a quiet mind is what draws her back to the mat. Bailey is drawn to creative vinyasa flow with precise attention to alignment. She is continually amazed and humbled by the power of one’s yoga practice and the transformation that takes place in a few square feet of space. Bailey received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification from Sonic Yoga in New York City. She is forever grateful to her teachers Lauren Hanna (assistant to Shiva Rea), Lori McAlister, Johanna Bell, and Georgia Reath for their inspiration, grace, and knowledge. Bailey recently moved from NYC back to the North Shore with her husband. In addition to teaching yoga, Bailey is a high school field hockey coach.
